Where the prices come from
Only from each brand’s own public website, or from a price file the brand gives us. We never copy another comparison site’s data. Inbox eSIM prices are live from our own catalog.
- Shopify stores: the public product list every Shopify shop publishes (
/products.json), one request per 250 products. - Country pages with product data: the schema.org Product and Offer data a brand puts on its own country pages for search engines. We find those pages in the brand’s sitemap.
- Country page data: for a few brands, the plan list their own country page loads to show the shopper (price, data and days), read by a small mapper per brand.
- Brand pages read one by one: for the brands we profile in depth (Airalo, Holafly, Ubigi, Nomad, Jetpac, eSIMPal), the plan list their country page shows.
- Price files from brands: any brand can send one. See list your eSIM.
How often, and how politely
- Every brand is read about once a week, at night (Istanbul time); the profiled brands every three days.
- Our reader names itself:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; InboxeSIM-pricecheck/1.0; +https://inboxesim.com/compare/method). - It obeys each site’s robots.txt for every address, waits five seconds between requests to the same site, and stops at the first refusal (HTTP 403 or 429). We never work around a block.
- Prices in other currencies are converted to US dollars on the day of the read, at the open.er-api.com mid-market rate.
Quality rules
- Every plan shows the date it was read and links to the brand’s page.
- A read that finds clearly fewer countries than the last one (under 80%) is not published; the last good read stays and we check the reader.
- A price that moves by more than half is held until the next read shows the same price.
- A price older than 45 days is removed rather than shown as current.
- A plan is listed only when its data and its days are both plain. Regional and multi-country packs are not shown as one country’s price.
- When one brand sells the same size for longer at the same price or less, only that better plan is listed.
How we rank
By price for the same data lasting at least as many days, so a shorter plan never looks cheaper than it is. Nobody pays for a position, ours included: where another brand is cheaper, the page says so. Unlimited plans are compared by length, with each brand’s own cap.
Next to the price we show what a brand’s own pages say about the rest of the deal: no app needed, an account needed before buying, no refund for an unused eSIM, a refund less a fee, or small refunds paid as app credit. Each label links back to the sentence it comes from, read on the brand’s help, terms or refund page (29 October 2026 for the wider market). These labels never change the order: the cheapest plan still comes first. A brand whose rules we have not read says so, and is not counted as needing no app.

Corrections and removal
A wrong price, a plan we missed, or you would rather not be listed? Write to partners@inboxesim.com from your company address. Corrections go in within a working day; a brand that asks to leave is removed within 48 hours, and its reader is switched off.
