Guide

Install the eSIM

Do this on Wi-Fi before you leave. After you land, turn data roaming on for the InboxSIM line. Checkout is not open yet — the steps stay the same when it is.

Before you fly

Will this phone take an eSIM?

This is the check Airalo uses before a refund argument. Tick what you can see. We cannot read the phone from the browser.

If a box stays empty, do not buy until you can tick it.

    Open the mail

    After payment you get a QR image and an LPA string (it starts with LPA:1$). Either works. Print the QR if you want a paper backup. Sample mail — not a live profile.

  2. 02 · iPhone

    Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM

    Use QR code, then point the camera at the mail. iPhone XS and later that are carrier-unlocked. Keep this eSIM for data; keep your home line for calls if you want.

  3. 03 · Android

    Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM

    Pixel, recent Samsung, and other eSIM phones: scan the QR or paste the LPA string. Menu names differ by maker. If Add eSIM is missing, the phone or the carrier lock does not support it.

  4. 04

    Land, then roam

    Turn on the InboxSIM line and Data roaming. Turn off data on your home SIM so you do not pay home roaming. Most country plans start on first attach, not on install.

It will not scan

Brighten the screen, or type the LPA string. Still stuck: [email protected] with a photo of the error, not the QR secret if you can avoid it.
