Two ways to do it
- Two country packs: a Japan eSIM and a South Korea eSIM. Two QR codes, installed at home on Wi-Fi; you switch the active line when you land in the second country.
- One Asia pack: one QR for 19 places including Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. Nothing to switch at the border.
Prices today
| Place | 1 GB | 5 GB | 10 GB | Day Pass, 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Japan | $2.90 | $5.90 | $9.90 | $19.90 |
| South Korea | $2.90 | $6.90 | $11.90 | $21.90 |
| Asia (regional) | $5.90 | $19.90 | $32.90 | – |
Country packs usually cost less per GB. The Asia pack wins on convenience when the trip has three or more stops, or when you cannot tell how the data will split between countries.
Before you go
- Install both country eSIMs at home on Wi-Fi; each one starts counting days at its first connection in its own country.
- Day Passes are on the Japan and South Korea pages if you want a daily full-speed allowance instead of a GB total.
- Calls and messages keep working on your home number; the eSIM is data only.
