Before you land in United States
US networks are 4G and 5G only now. A phone that roams fine elsewhere can still struggle here if it is old; the notes below say why.
- AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile shut down their 3G networks in 2022, so 3G-only phones do not work in the US. FCC
